Deb Tacoma was desperate a few years ago after she broke her back in a car accident and found that, during recovery, she was hampered in trying to take care of some basic personal needs.

Out of that frustration came the idea for the FreedomWand, an arm that could reach places she couldn’t. It has four little grippers at the end that can hold toilet paper, sponges to apply medication and lotion, a razor to shave or a loofah to use in the shower. It can also grip pencils and toothbrushes…

“Your product is the one and only product that has worked for me. I am a 46 year old disabled woman who is suffering from diabetic kidney disease. I have had 4 hand surgeries for carpal tunnel syndrome and have limited hand use. The Freedom Wand provides the right angle for both hands, is easy to use and can be taken with you when traveling. The unique style, shape and fingers add a great compliment to this product as it allows you to have freedom without stretching, grasping and/or hurting ones hands and fingers.

I have tried many other toilet aids and have experienced much disappointment. I love the freedom wand and feel this is a great item for those who are experience limitations from disabilities. I would highly recommend this wand to anyone who is need of assistance. This product is wonderful and having had so many problems with other products, I commend the inventors of this Godly device.”

Everybody takes care of this to remain fresh through the day. Most times you wake up, brush your teeth, then take a shower and put deodorant on. You pretty much do this your whole life until one day you find you cannot do it completly alone.

When a person cannot take care of these duties they may feel dirty or even depressed. There are many reasons why people find themselves in this situation. When you find you reach the point of not being able to perform theses duties a personal hygiene aid can help you out along with obtaining a trusted helper. In some situations it is very important to set up a schedule so that the individual does not get left out on being fresh and clean. The goal that all have is to regain independence and dignity as quickly as possible.

1.Tripped and fell or just twisted your back a little and wham, you can’t bend or move well?
2.Fell over something on the floor to end up breaking your arm/wrist/shoulder?
3.How about slipping on the ice?

Then their are all the different surgeries that leave you needing toileting assistance and personal care and grooming. Roto cuff repair?, Carpel tunnel? spine issues, knee and hip repairs? the list is endless. Finding the right Toilet assistance products can take much of the fear and embarrassment away during your time of healing.

Most people struggle to lose weight through diet and exercise, and visible progress can be slow and tedious. Obesity often complicates even the simplest tasks, including a morning shower. Excess body mass creates a significant reach problem, especially when you need to scrub yourself clean.

A handheld obesity aid can grasp loofahs with ease, allowing the user to reach and cleanse every body part. These tools significantly shorten shower duration, which saves time and hot water. By shower’s end, you’ll be ready to face the rest of the day with a sense of renewed confidence.

People respond to the reality of aging in different ways. Some see the process as a challenge that needs to be met head-on. These folks choose to live active lifestyles that make them look and feel 10 or even 20 years younger than they actually are. Other people age with an attitude of indifference; their muscles begin to atrophy and the ravages of old age rear their heads even earlier.

A healthy, active lifestyle should be maintained even late in life, but that isn’t always possible for everyone. When simple hygienic measures become a burdensome chore, it might be time to implement a limited mobility aid. These tools become useful in the shower and during other toileting situations, and they help avoid the risk of embarrassment.

The aging process has a way of sneaking up on even the most active elderly people. At some point, the role of parent and child reverses itself; all of a sudden, it’s up to the son or daughter to determine where the parent will spend his or her last days. In some cases, this means turning over the responsibility to an assisted-living center. But some children choose to bear the burden themselves; they think it’s the least they can do.

For many elderly people, maintaining dignity is just as important as surviving at all. No one wants to be subjected to embarrassing situations, especially where bodily functions are involved. Some older men and women develop incontinence issues as they age, which makes every trip to the bathroom a risky endeavor. A commode chair strategically placed at bedside is often the best alternative, as it can be moved and cleaned easily.
